What Kind Of Dirt Are You?

[the following is the outline for the Evangelistic message I preached at our evangelism crusade]

Read Luke 8:1

The pervasiveness of Jesus preaching- “every city and village..”
the content- “The good news of the Kingdom of God”
What is that?
The presence of the King
The age of the Spirit
The fulfillment of the OT
Salvation
Being in the Church
The 2nd coming of Jesus for his people
What was the validation of his preaching?
Read 7:22 (spiritual blindess, Spiritually lame….)
The power validated his preaching.

Could you imagine hearing the gospel preached from the lips of Jesus and not believing it? But that happened… Jesus gives four responses to the gospel (Read 8:4-9)

Why does Jesus use parables? Read vv. 10 (compare v. 18)
Jesus uses parables to conceal…

For the sake of those who do not understand, Jesus graciously explains the parable Read 11-15.

I want to be that last soil, the good ground- that’s talking about the heart.

Has nothing to do with my ability (v. 10 to you it has been given to know…**)-
The good ground is the blind, the lame, the…

Notice that the seed which falls in the good ground is the minority- one quarter –narrow gate.

So what kind of soil are you?

wayside? Satan



Rocky soil? No root; temptation



thorns? Cares, riches, pleasures of life


Jesus said the poor have the gospel… blessed are the poor in spirit- theirs is the KoG
