Thursday Night Prayer and Fasting: Day 2
Day 2
1In the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. 2While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." 3So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
Acts 13:1-3
Read: 1 Samuel 15:1-33

1 Comments:
Our gracious Lord blessed us with His presence last night as we joined together. We as humans are all weak and struggle when we deprive ourselves of anything, and we all hungered in the flesh, but the yearning and hungering for God's presence and blessing was even deeper and the Lord's Spirit was filling the hearts of His people. I don't know fully how the connection works for the Lord's blessing with fasting and sacrifice, but I do know that He comes and blesses those who earnestly seek Him.
My desire is that more of His body will be moved to come and fellowship together so that our joy can be that much more.
Rod.
